Established training course draws international managers in the print media industry to Heidelberg

For the fifth time, managers from the print media industry will travel from all over the world to attend the Summer University in the Print Media Academy (PMA) in Heidelberg from July 16-21, 2006. The training program at the heart of the week of seminars will focus on current management issues. The main topics will include key areas of business management, e.g. strategy development and implementation, process and personnel management, sales and company development.

“Specialist knowledge is no longer sufficient in itself to run a company profitably. It is critical to have the right strategies and the latest management know-how,” says Bernd Schopp, Head of the Print Media Academy.”At the Summer University, participants will be equipped with the tools needed to meet market and competitive challenges.”

A team of international experts will transfer practical knowledge at the Summer University 2006. The aim is that all the participants will be able to implement what they have learned immediately in their own company. Case studies will be used to analyze current management challenges in the group and to formulate solutions. The practical examples will not be restricted solely to the print media industry, but will also cover other industries. The participants’ own problems or future plans can also be discussed and the results documented in a personal plan of action. Read more
