Xerox digital printing systems named ‘Best of Show’
The fully-integrated, tandem-engine-architecture Xerox Nuvera® 288 Digital Perfecting System was named ‘Best of Show’ by leading market research and consulting firm InfoTrends and show organizer Questex Media. The Xerox Nuvera 288 DPS beat out several competitive systems in the Monochrome Digital Printing Equipment category. The new DocuColor® 260 Digital Color Printer/Copier received an honorable mention in the Process Color Digital Printing Equipment category.
The Xerox Nuvera 288 Digital Perfecting System runs two-sided jobs with image quality equivalent to offset printing standards. It is the industry’s fastest cut-sheet duplex system, producing books, catalogs and other graphic-intensive jobs at 288 duplex impressions per minute.
The Xerox Nuvera 288 DPS uses Emulsion Aggregation Toner, providing a true offset look and feel. EA Toner is also a key component of the Xerox Nuvera 100/120/144 EA Digital Production Systems, which were also launched at the show.
Our 120 page-per-minute Xerox Nuvera EA system is a very reliable machine that has been running non-stop,” said Steve Zenger, president and CEO, The Zenger Group-Printing Services Network in Buffalo, one of the first customer test sites. “The image quality is exceptional. That, coupled with the efficiency of the EA Toner, produces offset-quality output while also reducing our costs and allowing us to be more competitive.” Zenger is using the Xerox Nuvera EA System to produce jobs such as personalized letters and postcards as well as booklets, flyers and letters.
In its exhibit, attendees were able to view more than 60 applications – including digital books, direct mail, personalized collaterals and promo transactional – many produced on the various Xerox printing systems. Xerox showcased its digital systems for office and production environments, surpassing the number of document systems demonstrated by any individual competitor. The company rolled out 15 new and enhanced products – including the revamping of its entire monochrome production printing portfolio – plus workflow software, and three new business development resources designed to spur growth, productivity and efficiency in the on-demand printing and document management markets.
Xerox also showed how its growing services business is delivering results for major companies like Universal Pictures, Owens Corning and Convergys Corporation.
More than 4,000 visitors toured the Xerox booth April 17-19 in Boston.
